What is Medication Administration and Management?

Remembering when to take Medication, the amount and at what time can become confusing to anyone, so a little bit of help maybe all that is needed.  We can offer a range of services from simply reminding a Service User that they need to take their pills, through to full Administration and Management whereby we will collect and manage prescriptions to ensure that the correct medication is always available.

Using an Electronic Medication Register all of the medications are loaded onto our system and a list of the exact Medications required, is automatically provided to the Care Worker to avoid mistakes and confusion. Additionally, to day to day medication, our Care Workers are able to assist in arranging appointments at the Doctors or Hospital, reminding them that the appointment is coming up and if needed actually accompanying the Service User to the appointment.

All of the members of our care team receive ongoing training, which includes training in the Administration of Medication which ensures that they are diligent and aware of the policies and procedures for administering medication.
